Hello and welcome to my blog! This is my first official post and what a great way to kick it off – I’m joining my NCDemos group monthly blog hop! I am very excited to be a part of this effort – these ladies are awesome and share so many wonderful projects and I am so lucky to be able to call them my friends.
This month’s theme for the NCDemos blog hop is Celebrate! The first thing I think of when I think of celebrations is birthdays. I love a good party with balloons, streamers, confetti and cake. I chose to use the new SAB (Sale-a-Bration) set, The Gang’s All Meer. This is such a cute set and images that are quick to color.
I have this package of DSP I got when I attended On Stage last spring in Charlotte, NC and I’ve never opened it. This is lovely paper and makes me think about the tiled images in the Southwest like those of Pueblos and Apaches. I used one piece that is 4 x 5 ¼ and cut it in half, then flipped the top piece over so you can see both sides. They are matted with a piece of soft suede and then mounted on a Garden Green card base. The meercats are colored very lightly with watercolor pencils.
Don’t forget to stamp the inside of your card!
