Anniversary Card

I was asked by a dear friend of mine to create an anniversary card for his wife of 31 years. I found a card on Pinterest that greatly inspired the design for this card. I used a Paper Pumpkin stamp with the gorgeous rose and lots of retired product. Some things I just can’t bear to part with, since they are such a lovely font, or a favorite image. In this case, the sentiment came from a retired set called Falling For You. I found a package of embossed DSP in my stash a while back that I never opened called For the Groom. This is gorgeous black paper with several embossed designs and I thought this card would be the perfect use! A gold faceted gem added just the right touch and subtle embellishment along with the panel of vellum. I used the Stitched So Sweetly die set to cut out the rectangle of vellum. This panel doesn’t obstruct the beautiful flower I stamped, but I felt toned it down a bit, so as not to be so harsh. A bit of glitter ribbon and black rhinestones to finish it off.
